ColorScreen

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ColorScreen handles information in the ColorScreen apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, and on the ColorScreen.co website.

1. Data Collection Statement

The ColorScreen apps do not collect personal data.

The native apps work without an account and do not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. They do not send your colors, settings, usage, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or other personal data to ColorScreen servers.

The ColorScreen.co website does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location through the website.

  • No account or sign-in is required.
  • The native apps have no developer-operated data collection endpoint.
  • The native apps do not sell, share, or use personal data for advertising.

2. Local Storage

The native apps use Apple's local preferences system to save app state such as custom colors, presets, display options, brightness choices, and timers. This information remains on your device unless you remove it by deleting or resetting the app.

The website uses browser LocalStorage to save preferences such as:

  • Custom colors you have manually added.
  • Personalized configurations in fullscreen mode (e.g., clock display settings).

Important: These local records are not uploaded to ColorScreen servers. You can remove website records by clearing site data in your browser or by using the available delete controls.

3. iPhone and Apple Watch Communication

If you use the Apple Watch companion app, ColorScreen can exchange the current display state and control commands between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication is used only to operate ColorScreen across your paired devices. ColorScreen does not send this information to a developer-operated server.

4. Website Analytics, Cookies, and Third Parties

  • Website analytics: The website may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve performance. Depending on the service, this may involve technical information such as a shortened IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. This website activity is separate from the native apps, which do not include analytics.
  • Advertising: The website and the native apps currently contain no ads. If this changes, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy disclosures before collecting data for advertising.

The website and apps may open external links, including this privacy page. If you choose to contact support, the app opens your email client and your message is handled by your email provider. ColorScreen receives only the information you choose to include in that message. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or service providers.

6. Children's Privacy

The native apps are not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information in a support email, contact us so we can address the request.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be posted on this page. We recommend checking back periodically for the latest information.
